Appalachian State Slips with Loss to Samford 70-56

On Friday, Mar. 7, Appalachian State forced only eight turnovers and was tripped up by Samford 70-56 in conference play. With the loss, the Mountaineers drop to 2-0 against Samford this season. Tommy Spagnolo got 10 points and eight rebounds in the Mountaineers loss. Michael Obacha scored 10 points and added nine rebounds.

T.J. Warren from NC State Wins StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week - March 10th, 2014

With two outings that included a team season high in scoring, T.J. Warren, a 6-8 sophomore from NC State, is the StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week. Devin Williams from West Virginia is the StatSheet NCAA Freshman of the Week and Todd Mayo from Marquette is StatSheet's NCAA 6th Man of the Week.

Southern Methodist Moves Down 7 Spots to #25 in AP Poll: Mar 10th, 2014

Virginia Commonwealth, who enters the AP Top 25 at #23 this week, leads two new teams in the poll. Southern Methodist lost the most ground this week, falling seven spots to #25.

Appalachian State Crushed by Chattanooga 63-44

On Saturday, Mar. 1, Appalachian State took on Chattanooga and was blown out by the Mocs 63-44 in conference play. The game remained close at halftime, as Appalachian State trailed just 35-30, but Chattanooga took control in second half and won easily.
