StatSheet's SoCon Player of the Week for January 28th goes to Elon's Jack Isenbarger. Elon's Tanner Samson has been recognized as StatSheet SoCon Freshman of the Week. Also, College of Charleston's Trent Wiedeman has received StatSheet's SoCon 6th Man of the Week.

Isenbarger led all of the SoCon in three pointers (5.5 per game). He also put up great stats in rebounding (3.5 per game), shooting (50%), and assists (5.5 per game). The Elon junior put these numbers up in wins against Chattanooga and Citadel.

Isenbarger led scoring for the Phoenix with 23 points while adding 5 rebounds in a big 85-61 win over Chattanooga. In the next game he led all scoring with 22 points and added 8 assists in a narrow 70-66 win against Citadel.

This is the first time this season that Jack Isenbarger has been named StatSheet SoCon Player of the Week. However, he has come in second once and received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is North Carolina-Greensboro junior Trevis Simpson. Honorable mention goes to junior Lucas Troutman from Elon. The highest ranking player from Appalachian State was Nathan Healy who finished 13th.

StatSheet SoCon Freshman of the Week: Elon's Tanner Samson

Tanner Samson averaged 29 minutes as a starter for Elon. His average in three pointers (4.5 per game) was the best among all SoCon freshmen. In the win over Chattanooga, Samson chalked up 12 points on 66% shooting. Following that in the win against Citadel, he totaled 15 points and 4 steals.

This marks the first time this season that Tanner Samson has won the StatSheet SoCon Freshman of the Week. The runner-up is Tim Williams from Samford. Honorable mention goes to Gee McGhee from Chattanooga.

StatSheet SoCon 6th Man of the Week: College of Charleston's Trent Wiedeman

Junior Trent Wiedeman, a 6-8 reserve forward, averaged 22 minutes of action over two games for the Cougars. In a 69-54 win against Citadel, Wiedeman got 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Then in a strong 79-50 victory against Wofford, he led all scoring and rebounding with 17 points and 8 rebounds.

This is Trent Wiedeman's first StatSheet SoCon 6th Man of the Week award this season. Tyler Hood, a sophomore forward from Samford, is runner up. Tyler Kalinoski, a sophomore guard from Davidson, receives honorable mention. The highest ranking 6th man from Appalachian State was Tevin Baskin who finished 5th. Appalachian State has won the StatSheet SoCon Player of the Week award 2 times this season.
