Jake Cohen from Davidson has earned StatSheet's SoCon Player of the Week award for February 11th. StatSheet's SoCon Freshman of the Week is Chattanooga's Gee McGhee. And finally, Tom Droney from Davidson is StatSheet's SoCon 6th Man of the Week. Cohen tallied 60% shooting, 3 assists per game, and 19 points per game. The Davidson senior played well for the Wildcats in victories against Western Carolina and Appalachian State.

Cohen topped all scoring and rebounding for the Wildcats with 24 points and 12 rebounds in a 73-59 win over Western Carolina. He then led all scoring with 14 points and added 5 assists in a huge 87-52 win over Appalachian State.

This is the second StatSheet SoCon Player of the Week award for Jake Cohen. He has also been a runner-up once. The runner-up this week is junior Trevis Simpson from North Carolina-Greensboro. Honorable mention goes to Karl Cochran, a sophomore from Wofford. Nathan Healy, who finished 11th, was the highest ranking player from Appalachian State.

StatSheet SoCon Freshman of the Week: Chattanooga's Gee McGhee

Gee McGhee played an average of 32 minutes starting both games for Chattanooga. He was number one among all SoCon freshmen in scoring (21.0 pts per game), rebounding (7.5 per game), and three pointers (2.0 per game). In an 89-76 win over Citadel, McGhee led the Mocs in scoring with 22 points and in rebounding with 7. Following that in a 71-68 loss to College of Charleston, he led all rebounding with 8 added 63% shooting.

Amazingly, Gee McGhee has won the StatSheet SoCon Freshman of the Week 3 times. The runner-up is Spencer Collins from Wofford. Tim Williams from Samford takes honorable mention.

StatSheet SoCon 6th Man of the Week: Davidson's Tom Droney

Junior Tom Droney, a 6-6 reserve guard, averaged 24 minutes over the two games for the Wildcats. In the win against Western Carolina, Droney added 8 points and 2 assists. During the win against Appalachian State, he led all scoring with 14 points and added 6 rebounds.

This is the first StatSheet SoCon 6th Man of the Week honor for Tom Droney. Trent Wiedeman, a junior forward from College of Charleston, is the runner up. Our own Tevin Baskin receives honorable mention. Appalachian State has 2 StatSheet SoCon Player of the Week wins this season.
